Using the Incorrect Homophone

I am going to they're party to see there cat over their. I fooled you!! Does this seem like someone you know or is it actually you who says this kind of stuff? Because if you do, then I feel sorry for you. Not only will your college essay look like a 7 year old wrote it, but you will be wallowing in eternal shame.

Back to the issue of college essays. The moment they see borded instead of boarded, the metaphorical cringe and tinge is placed into effect and then they're biased for the rest of the time that they're reading it. Now dont get me wrong, I don't really mind about this because I'm not the type of person who would get this stuff wrong in the first place. But let's say that I do and I'm in middle school, and am in currently advanced English. Then let's assume that I always mess up homophones and am failing. Don't be too surprised when the grade level recommendation that you get is for core. Oops.

Now remember, children: JUST DON'T MISSPELL YOU'RE DARN HOMOPHONES! Four they can determine your fate as a CEO of a major corporation known to the hole WORLD!!!! Or you could be a long suffering butler/waiter/intern/MacFatty's worker/anything that pays minimum wage all because you couldn't right the correct homophone.

QOD: What do YOU think about homophones? Post in the comments below. We love our comments.
